Naraoka ware is a folk craft that combines practicality and beauty, and is known for its beautiful blue nigori glaze. Originally, it focused on everyday items such as tableware, tokkuri flasks, water jars, and suribachi mortars, so its function as tableware is highly regarded, and it has many devoted users both inside and outside the prefecture.
At Naraoka Tōen, in addition to selling ceramic ware, hands-on pottery classes are also offered from time to time.
