This elegant former manor house has been carefully preserved as a wooden inn and is now a registered Tangible Cultural Property, more than 100 years old.
It has a rare iodine-rich hot spring in Japan, and all baths use free-flowing natural spring water straight from the source.
A specialty of the inn is “kawa-gani cuisine,” made with Japanese mitten crabs caught in the nearby Omono River.
